Before you inquire.
When should I hire my birth doula?
You can inquire at any point in pregnancy. Reaching out earlier allows us more time to prepare together and gives you the best opportunity to secure availability around your estimated due date.
Can I hire you if I plan to have an epidural?
Absolutely. Doula care is not limited to unmedicated birth. I support clients through many types of birth experiences.
Do you replace my partner?
No. I support both you and your partner. My presence can help your partner feel more confident and involved rather than responsible for remembering or doing everything alone.
Are you providing midwifery care?
No. I am currently a student midwife, but the services advertised here are doula services. Doula care is non-clinical and does not replace medical or licensed midwifery care.
Can Medicaid cover my doula services?
Medicaid clients are welcome to inquire. Coverage and eligibility may depend on your individual insurance plan, program requirements, and service availability.
Can I book placenta encapsulation without birth doula care?
Standalone placenta encapsulation inquiries are welcome. Contact me with your estimated due date so we can discuss availability and next steps.
What area do you serve?
With Love Midwifery serves families throughout Chicagoland. Include your city and planned birth location in your inquiry so I can confirm availability.
